Leadership Training Institute Recap — Part 1 is an event recap video edited in CapCut. The goal was to preserve the atmosphere of the institute while still following the actual order of the programme, so the video feels both structured and emotionally grounded.
The opening sequence begins with arrival at the venue destination, suitcases, and moments of prayer. This establishes the event not only as a gathering, but as a journey into a spiritually intentional space.
The soundtrack plays a major role in the storytelling. The recap begins with “Opening Prayer” by Gaba Cannal featuring Mam K, a deeply spiritual Amapiano track that carries themes of restoration, deliverance, faith, hope, and national healing. This choice gives the opening a prayerful weight before the edit transitions into the song the choir was singing, allowing the sound to move from recorded prayer into live worship.
The footage was arranged to align with the order of the programme, creating a recap that feels intentional rather than random. The edit moves from arrival, to prayer, to programme moments, to worship, using pacing and transitions to keep the viewer connected to the flow of the day.
As a motion project, this piece reflects my interest in faith-based event storytelling: using accessible editing tools, sound, sequencing, and atmosphere to turn real event footage into a recap that feels meaningful, organised, and memorable.
